Vicki!!! WOOP WOOP and a night with Katy!

My pal Vicki came for a visit this weekend and we have all sorts of fun, including a stroll down the beach, scrapping, cooking and chatting. Saturday night was a great laugh, we spent the night blogging and girlie giggling on speaker phone with my BF Katy. Brilliant night girls. WOOP WOOP!!!!!

I have had such a laugh this weekend. Here are 2 pictures I just took of Vicki in her Nightee, I think she may kill me as she has no idea I am putting these on here as she is still downstairs scrapping lol.

"OI!!! Not fair, I'm in my NIGHTEE!!!"
"GRRRRRR I said no Pictures I'm scrapping!"
Tee Hee! What a fab and funny weekend. xxx

Great Auntie Billie and BLUE AWNING!

K&Co papers don't often rock my world but I have to say I am LOVING!!! The Blue Awning Range. It is great to work with and nice quality too, the foiled and emboseed papers are yummy as well as are the rubons, chipboard and beaded brads, we may as well just say I love it all.
I cut out some of the flowers from one of the sheets of papers and 3D mounted them with silicone glue.
The hidden journal was fun to make, I made the pocket from the spotty paper in the range.

The journalling folder was inspired by my friend Lori, who did a recent layout with a file folder like this full of pictures of her naughty cat with a camera strap, it was fab. So thanks Lori hun, your an inspiration as always.
I miss my Great Aunt, I really had a bond with her and admired her so much, I hope this pays her the respect she is due.
Thanks for looking. xxx

4 NEW LAYOUTS!! SCRAPPING & MORE SCRAPPING!

Wow loads of creative fun today, my first layout was of pictures taken along the shore line at Ravenscraig park, I used BG Archaic and Bazzill cardstock and had some fun with all different lettering for the title.
The buttons are Felt Microchips from Maya Road, they are really nice to use and give a lo the touchy feely quality I like at the moment.
After that I went a little Rusty Pickle crazy, all the other 3 layouts are RP, this first one is the RP Mayflower Range, it is not strictly finished as I want to journal the story about the dog but I want to research the most famous version before I do that.
As I have said so many times before, I am a total THICKERS addict lol and these Jewellery box ones just seemed to work so well with the layout, then I just inked over them so they worked with the RP fluffy trim.
The last 2 sort of go together, they are both black and white using RP Popstar papers and Rub-ons, I created the butterfly accents on both lo's by cutting out 2 butterflies for each embellie, then adding Gems and doubling them up to give a 3D feel.
All quite simple yet they seem quite affective.
This second one is deffo, my fav. of the day. I think it may be because it took a long time to scrap my dad and now that I can I enjoy it and it brings back fond memories instead of the more negative ones that haunted me for so long.
I never intended for the Mummy and Daddy lo's to be a DLO but they will work well in the album together.
Thanks for looking and I hope your all having a great weekend. xxx

A few newish lo's

Just thought I would pop these recent lo's on, they were done as demo lo's for a class I was teaching at my crop. The class was to show how a simple recipe could create so many different lo's.

Thanks for looking. Have a great evening all. xxx

SOMEONE MADE MY YEAR! WITH RUSTY PICKLE!

I say someone because I don't know who the wonderful individual is who made my day!

I got an email from our Scottish Rusty Pickle chef Beckie who is also a member of my crop and this is what it said:

Hello Jay!How are you today?
I hope you are sitting down and holding on to something firmly.
I have been asked to email you and let you know that you have been sent a
RAK of A TICKET TO THE RUSTY PICKLE EVENT ON
THURSDAY 19TH JUNE AT NORTH QUEENSFERRY!!
all you need to do is get yourself to North Queensferry! So girlie stop screaming and yes it's true! See you on the 19th for some Picklelicious Fun! Love Beckie xx

Well after I had picked my jaw up off the floor and danced around the room sing Rusty Pickle Rusty Pickle Rah Rah Rah!!! and rung my mum (she is staying with my brother for a few days) and screamed down the phone, I mailed Beckie back to thank her and she told me she was just the messenger and that the person who RAK'D me was remaining ANON.
I was a little sad that I could not thank them in person but I totally understood.
What an amazing and selfless thing to do, to be honest I am not used to receiving gifts, I tend to be the giver not the receiver so I am still a tad in shock.

I hope the person who has done this for me is reading my blog.
Whoever you are, your SWEET, KIND, CARING, WONDERFUL, SELFLESS ACT has made my entire year.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. There not enough words to explain how much I appreciate this massively generous gift.
