Wow some actual scrapping and What a start to 2010!

This Year has not started well, I took Vicki to casualty on NYE or should I say 4am NY day, she is ok but that was not fun. There were no buses on the 2nd in my area so I had expensive taxi's to get me to a place buses would get me to work and then I got stuck in snow, I pray this is not a sign of our coming year LOL.

Whooaa! I actually managed to do a layout and I actually like it lol. I used mainly stash from my new BG Nook and Pantry collection, that I got for Christmas, what great papers to work with.

I also used a Prima pebble for the first time, what yummy accents they are!!

Ok so I have been searching for info on the next CHA, I usually got my info from Lifetime moments but was so sad to see they had closed down.

I have seen a few sneak peeks I like though, my must haves are all the 12 new Time Holtz distress ink colours:

And the already released BG ranges Origins and Sugar Rush, YUM YUM YUM!!!

On a non stash note, my friend Katy has introduced me to the world of Cath Kidston and although some of her stuff is over floral for me she has some fab stuff and I MUST MUST MUST have these bowls, cereal bowls in the shape of old fashioned mixing bowls, YUMMY!!

OK so getting home from work last night, nearly did not happen, I have a very long commute and there were blizzards and hail storms all the buses in Dundee stopped running, so I had to hope for the best and get a train to a town near home and them my oh so sweet BIL Kev came and got me from the station but the journey home was scary.

I was home for about an hour, the snow had stopped and all was warmer, then suddenly the heavens opened and this came down, Mum and I could not resist a play and a few pics.

Vic looking fed up that she could not come out, she has severe Bronchitis and cold does not help it, so she was in bed bless her.

I did enjoy the snow for a few days but a few weeks is starting to suck! I will never wish for, or dream of a White Christmas again!! LOL

I am off to do another Layout, here is a quick picture of a kit I have put together to play with, I will post a picture of the finished layout, when it is done.

Holy Cow!!! Where has the year gone!?!?!?!?! HAPPY 2010 xxx

So I hope you have all had a great last few months to 2009, I have been so tired and busy that blogging took a back seat but I really missed it, so here I am back blogging with every intention of making a resolute effort to be a much better blogger this year.

The first photo here represents my neighbours having a gorgeous litter of boxer puppies, such cuties. I am so lucky, I have such wonderful neighbours.

This next lot of pictures are from my first visit to the German market in Edinburgh, this is our obligatory US shot. We went to meet up with My brothers Family and 4 of our Friends from London.

Here are my friends Steph and Alex and Neil and Caroline, it was so good to see them, here they are preparing to do a quick happy xmas song video for my mum lol.

We made a return visit to the German Market the following week, with my mum and 2 of our Nephews, Robbie and Kristofer. What a great fun day.

Most of the rest of my time was filled with work, travel, shopping, wrapping and decorating.

Now we reach Christmas, here is Vicki's first Christmas cake, it was soooo delicious.

Vic and I spent xmas at home with her mum Ina, such a nice Xmas day.

Boxing day we had Vic's family over, her sister, partners and nephews and Vicki's friend Angela and her daughter Lacie. What a brilliant day, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

At the end of the party, we set of a Wish lantern, we all made wishes on it and had a few tears and hugs, I feel really lucky to be a part of a very welcoming and funny family.

One last thing, a friendship that is very important to me and has been neglected is back as strong as ever and I am so happy about it, love you Katy xxx

Bad crafter.....

Not only have I been a bad blogger but I have not been creative either, well until Saturday at the crop, I missed last month but was back this month. I was going to miss the Christmas crop next month but I have given away my ticket to Rocky horror as I don't want to miss our crop but I am sure my SIL Lisa will love the show and I already have tickets for 2 different shows in the first half of next year so I will look forward to those, I will have to wait until Rocky Horror comes around again, I have seen it 3 times already and Lisa has never seen it and wants to so maybe there really is a reason for everything.

So anyway, I have done 2 layouts in the last few days and thought I would blog them along with a picture of some new stash, I have not spent money on stash in months and this was prizes and vouchers so still no spending lol.

Layout #1 was don't using this years BG Christmas papers Eskimo kisses, great fun to use.

And the last picture is our Yummy new stash, mainly BG Indian Summer, I can't wait to play with it.

I want BG's Nook and Pantry next, it looks fab but I am so out of the look I need to see what the latest trends are. any pointers for some great new stash??

Dear diary.... I know I am a bad blogger.....

This post is just to catch up on what has been happening in my world for the last few months as I have been such a bad blogger, then I will do a second post with craft stuff. So August just disappeared, I got a full time job finally, YAY!!! and I worked for the owner last Christmas, which was great. I am enjoying it so much but I commute nearly 5 hours a day, so it has taken a while to adjust and to work out how to fit a life in as well LOL but I am now!

SO we hit September and my first event is MIL to be's Ann Summers Party, well what a brilliant night, so much fun.

Yes that's right, the Cream bearded lady is indeed my MIL to be PMSL, it was a really funny night.

This has always bemused and amused me, we had to fashion a penis out of play-doh and this was one of my SIL's Clare's effort, all I can say is I hope her Fiancee never saw the pictures lol.

Now we have reached September 7th my 37th Birthday and Vic took me out for lunch at Pane e Vino's, which was very nice as I had not been before. We had a lovely lunch.

The following day Vic, mum and I went into Edinburgh to meet My brother Steve, his partner Emma and the twins.

We went to a fab pub called the ADVOCATE with an amazing selection of sausages, great food, great service, friendly staff and I also had great company, what more could a girl want. Overall a really great birthday.

Then really all that I have done is work, work, work.

In between work and work lol Vic and I went to see SIL to see Lisa and her family and take Oscar a talking Maka Paka.

He seems to like it.
Here is Lisa with Oscar.The 14th of October saw Oscar turn 1, he had a party at Jungle Jim's, which I had to miss as I was WORKING!!! Grrrr but Vic took lots of pictures for me, here is one with Oscar and his dad Kevin.

Then the beginning of this month saw our nephew Jamie stay with Vic and I for the first time and meet all the cats, he seemed to have great fun

So that is it really in a nutshell, it may not sound exciting but I have to confess to loving my life right now. I shall try to keep up with my blog now, notice I said try lol. I shall post a craft bit later today.
